The Singles rock band started its activities in January  1997  by having Ugly
as lead vocalist (also guitarist), Belô (drums), and Fábio (bass). At this time
the band used to play several covers like: Nirvana, Pearl Jam amongst many
others along the way.

The band's name was indeed taken from the movie whose  director  showed
the way a new-fashion couple used to live their lives amidst lots of sorts of 
 songs that arise over in Seattle early 1990's. 

By June 1999, Fábio left the band and Sazon was invited to gather taking on
the bass 3. Belô also left the band - which wasreplaced by Francis who took
on the drums. By the end of 90's (1999) the  rock  band  began to play their
first debut CD demo, that was recorded in May 2002 with its 9 tracks. 

The music style of the band is alternative or like some use to label "grunge", 
the songs are all sung in English, they contain aggressive, controversial and
depressive words. 

Anderson Tkatch is the main composer. Whenever  it  is possible the Singles 
band books on tour either in Curitiba (their homeland) or in São Paulo - they
mean anywhere rock promoters give them  a chance to  show  their talents, 
anyways. 

São Paulo state is indeed a growing field -  there  they  had opportunities  to 
market  their CD, spread some  news  on  the  local  broadcast like the one in 
Campinas,  likewise  on  TV  network, the band  has  been  inviting  by  some
promoters to participate all the way in events across  the  country like Rio de
Janeiro and in Santa Catarina where they really expect  to  market, to spread,
to demonstrate their natural talents, and strike it up.
